A diaper or a nappy is a kind of underwear that saves you from embarrassment when your child urinates or defecates in any place other than his toilet seat.
There are two varieties of Diapers. Cloth Diapers and Disposable Diapers.
Cloth diapers are made of absorbent cloth. They can be washed or laundered, sterilized and reused.
Disposable Diapers are made of a combination of treated pulp, polyethylene, glues, dyes, synthetic perfumes and a super absorbent chemical Sodium Polyacrylate that absorbs urine and holds it in gel form. The soiled disposable diaper can be changed at convenience. Disposables have better absorbency and keeps baby’s skin drier and less prone to irritation even if not changed after a couple of urinations.
However, parents are advised to change the diapers at regular intervals. Failure to change a diaper on a regular enough basis can result in skin problems.
